About Madison River Tubing

Proudly Providing Family Fun since 1992!

Madison River Tubing got its start in 1992 as part of Montana Whitewater, founded by Bill Zell on the Gallatin River. The Madison River tubing operation came a bit later, once the family had already added zipline tours and fly fishing instruction to the mix and figured a slow float down a warm river was the obvious next move. There was a desperate need to cut down on the parking fiasco at the Madison River and shuttling folks out was the solution we came up with. More than three decades later, as Bozeman’s most trusted outfitter, it's still the same idea: get people outside and on the water without much fuss.

We're based in Bozeman, about 35 minutes from the put-in and a scenic drive from Yellowstone's north entrance, which makes us an easy stop if you're already out this way. We're also the only outfitter running tube trips on the Madison — so if you're floating this particular river, you're floating with us.

Madison River Tubing is part of a small family of well reviewed and trusted Montana outdoor businesses, alongside Montana Whitewater and Yellowstone Zipline and Canopy Tours. Different rivers, different activities, same idea underneath all of it: time outside with people you like is worth building a business around.
