Beartrap Canyon Raft Trip

We are one of two commercial permit holders to run this exclusive Beartrap Canyon raft trip. Come experience wilderness with us.

This is a small group trip with a maximum of 12 people, through a beautiful area only accessible by foot or boat.
- We know you will enjoy the peace and quiet of being the some of the only boaters around. Eagles may circle overhead, mountain sheep and goats might watch from rocky cliffs and you could even catch sight of a bear as you float downstream.
- Given the technical nature of this river, our guides will use oar boats to row you down the river, no paddling necessary.
- The trip begins with a few fun class III rapids, some mellow, scenic floating, then you hit the legendary Kitchen Sink-a technical class IV rapid. Rafters must be 16 years old to run the Kitchen Sink rapid, and we reserve the right to have our guests walk around the Kitchen Sink depending on water levels (all guests are given the option to walk). The other sections of this float are appropriate for all rafters.
- Sit by the rapids and enjoy a delicious riverside lunch and then a mostly mellow float to the takeout, with great swimming holes.
- Feel the thrills and splashes in the morning, then sit back and relax all afternoon!

TOWN TO RIVER Tube Trip

Recommended for ages 21+. Show up to the shop with all your drinks, snacks and supplies and we will take care of the rest!

We will drive you to the put-in area and get your on the water with all the gear your reserved. We will then meet you at the takeout, collect the gear, and drive everyone back to Bozeman.

Need something for your float? Madison River Tubing has coolers, standup paddle boards, waterproof bluetooth speakers for rent as well as ice, water shoes, t-shirts, sunglasses, sunscreen and hats for sale at the shop.

Rules

Cancellation and Payment Policy

Cancellations made 48+ hours before trip time will receive a full refund. Customers will also receive a full refund in the case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If you cancel 48 to 24 hours before your trip you will be charged 50%. If you cancel within the 24 hours before your trip you will be charged 100%. No-Call No-Shows are charged the full price.

We are not responsible for or able to control changing weather during your trip. We typically do not cancel due to weather, so it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to cancel with 48 hours notice.

The card that we have on file for your reservation will be the card that we charge the day before your trip. If you need to change your payment method, please call us as soon as you know this. We are happy to update this. We will NOT accept cash at the meeting location of your trip.

Emergency Water Evacuation

We drive the river all day. This does not mean we are your rescue crew. This is a shuttle service, not a guided trip. If you must exit the river due to weather:
-DO NOT pull out of the river on the side of the highway (it is wicked busy and our busses and trailers cannot just pull over and load you up into our rig).
-DO pull out of the river at fishing access lots/dirt road side of the river.
-If you see one of our vehicles (we are hard to miss) try to make eye contact and put your arms straight out at each side (so you look like a cross) and our driver will know you need picked up.

Things to Remember

-No Glass!
-No Flip Flops!
-Do not be late to your trip.
-Do not be late to the shuttle at the end of your trip.

MEET AT THE RIVER Tube Trip

  MEET AT THE RIVER Tube Trip - Meet us at the river! We provide the transport from the end of the trip back to the start to retrieve your vehicle. 

  Best Equipment -A  Deluxe Tube has a mesh bottom that let's you get wet but does not let you fall through.  A Deluxe Tube has strong handles so you can use a provided strap to link you to your friend's tube.

The Madison is warm and mellow, making it popular for summer floats. We will meet you at California Corner Access put-in, our trip leader and shuttle driver will hand out inflated tubes and will help connect them, so groups can float together. Max of 8 tubes can be tied together. We get you on the water with all your gear and meet you at the take-out at Blacksford. At the end, our trip leader will collect the tubes and transport your driver back to the put-in (California Corner on the Madison River) to retrieve your vehicle.

We supply the tubes, life jackets, straps to connect groups, shuttle assistance, and very personable staff at the put-in and takeout, allowing you to focus on having fun with friends and family. A variety of trip add-ons are available: waterproof speakers, cooler tubes with ice, and standup paddle board upgrades. Come enjoy a relaxing and worry-free day on the water, with a reliable shuttle back to the put-in so you do not need 2 vehicles. The minimum age is 3 years old on all of our tubing trips, including shuttle assisted tubing.
